When I was still looking for a camera to buy online I must have looked at a ton of digital camera reviews. It was my first time to buy a digital camera so I had to rely solely on those camera reviews. It took me days and days of research before I was able to find the perfect model for my budget and it took me a few more days before I found the cheapest but most reliable seller.

I believe I got a good deal on my Canon Powershot camera. It has personally delivered at my doorstep and I paid cash-on-delivery. In just a few minutes, the transaction was over and a year later I’m still happy with my camera. It takes great pictures and it has helped us a lot preserve a lot of our family memories.

If you’re looking for a good online deal there are lots out there. Just take time and effort to research so you’ll find the thing that you’re looking for.

If you’re into online shopping then I know the hardest part is doing your research online. I bought my digital camera online and I literally spent days researching what the best camera I could afford with my money was. I wanted one that took the best quality picture and at the same time affordable. Doing research, as I said, was tedious. I had to hop from one website to the other so that I can read reviews and compare the different digital cameras. Then my job is not finished. After finding one I like I have to look for an online seller that gives the best price on the product.

Fortunately, I have found Items where you can compare, shop, and save. At Items online shopping becomes a breeze. I don’t have to hop from one site to another and I get to see review of people who have actually bought the product. Once you set your eye on something then it’s time to compare prices. You just click on the item and you would be brought to another page where you’ll see how much it costs in different stores. Isn’t that so convenient? Next time I need something I know where I would shop. Where else but the one that would give me all the information I need? What about you?

I had fun browsing their site and looking at some mazda accessories for our Mazda. I was particularly interested in their navigation system. Why? Because I suck at directions. It’s one more reason for me to avoid driving. I tell my hubby I need to live in a place first in order to memorize the roads so this should come in handy. Our Newstar rechargeable batteries that came free with our Newstar charger are starting to malfunction. The low battery icon would start flashing in our camera even though the battery charged for a couple of hours. That’s why we have started using non-rechargeable batteries. But a few months of using those disposables made us concede that it’s really expensive buying batteries over and over again. That’s why we stopped by DIY last night and finally bought these.

For only P539.75 the Energizer rechargeable battery boasts that it is the World’s No.1 selling rechargeable brand and holds each charge for up to six months. I hope these would last longer than my Newstar batteries.

I was waiting for Daddy and Z to come out of Wendy’s after lunch when I heard some merry folk music. When I turned around this is what I saw.

The salesladies were dancing! The best part is they seem to be having fun. Their dancing was contagious I tell you. It brought me back to my childhood. We used to dance folk dances just like that. At some point I really wanted to drop my things and join them.

While people stopped by and watched I whipped my camera phone and started taking pictures, of course. I can’t let you miss it, can I? So any idea where this was taken from?

I got to tell you that their gimmick was really effective. It took all my self restraint to go in there and buy something.

Daddy Has All the Fun!

Having a son means I’m seriously at a disadvantage. Yes, I love my son to bits and I won’t exchange him for anything but sometimes I think Daddy is having all the fun. I tell you, he gets to relive his childhood through Z. He gets a kick out of buying Z lots of toys which are toys for little boys which means Daddy also likes because he’s also a little kid at heart. I can’t tell you how many times I have rolled my eyes at him every time he says, “Let’s go to Toy Kingdom!” This he does without fail at least once a week. Once there Z and Daddy – particularly Daddy – roam the toy store for an hour or two to look at the toys for boys. They look at toy cars for hours always struggling to pick the perfect one to add to their collection. Once they found THE ONE, four eyes lit up. hehe I can’t say which set of eyes is more happier but I think the bigger one has more twinkle in the eyes. LOL!

I, on the other hand, just busy myself with asking sales agents at the mall for free insurance quotes while father and son roam the toy store for hours. Have I mentioned that we really need it and we don’t have insurance for everything? That’s how I keep myself busy. I had no interest going around the toy store whatsoever. Then two Sundays ago it was my turn to see the perfect toy, the thing I can say as THE ONE! I’m talking about this:

Gladiator Sandals

Gladiator sandals are everywhere – on TV, at the malls, in the internet – people are wearing it wherever they go and why won’t they? It’s the latest trend in footwear fashion.

I just bought my first gladiator sandals and it will probably be my last. I’m not that trendy because I prefer sensible clothes and shoes that I can wear throughout the year and would be in style whatever year it was. Yes, they don’t call me frugal for nothing.

Well, sensible style can be boring sometimes so on one of our trips to St. Francis Square I bought gladiator sandals. It was P250. Do you think it was overpriced or was it priced just right?

I think it was definitely overpriced! In less than a week one of the rubber soles was missing. It was New Year’s eve when I realized that I kept on slipping in the middle of Eastwood. I almost fell twice! When I looked down I saw that the rubber sole was nowhere to be found. Thank goodness I didn’t make a scene in the middle of the New Year’s celebration there or I would have cursed these sandals. LOL!

Anyway, it still looks nice and I’m going to wear it again once I have it repaired.

And oh, pardon my feet. I got it from my Dad. hahaha

Tagaytay Trip

It was the height of Manny Paquiao and Ricky Hatton’s fight when we decided to go to Tagaytay for a joy ride. As expected there were only a few cars on the road and we enjoyed a smooth ride to Tagaytay. It has been years since I last visited this place. I remember I was only a teenager when we used to frequent here with my family. We went to the Palace in the Sky and it was at noon when we got there. The sight was amazing! The only not so good thing was the sky was full of clouds so we weren’t able to see it all.
What I enjoyed during our trip there was of course the shopping! We bought a nice wall decor for our apartment, jewelry boxes, and lots of buko pie from Collette’s. Their buko pie is really tasty and full of buko tidbits. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. When we go back to Tagaytay I’ll make sure to buy more pies.
