She Won!
My heart was in my throat a few seconds before they announced the winner maybe it’s because I predicted she would win. Well, Sandra Bullock got the award alright but I didn’t expect her victory would be overshadowed by Kathryn Bigelow’s unprecedented win. It really took me by surprise that James Cameron’s Avatar was given the snub by the Academy Award judges and rightfully so I think. So Oscar was a night of many firsts, the first time a woman won Best Director and the first time James Cameron’s ex-wife beated him in his own ball game. Such a sweet success for Kathryn!
Before Her Big Night

Here is Sandra Bullock pushing her grocery cart just like any ordinary day. Doesn’t she looks so normal and calm? I’m surprised she even has the time to shop her groceries. If I was her I would be a wreck of nerves at this very moment. After all, the Academy Awards is only days away and everyone is rooting for her to win the Best Actress Award. Right now she’s just being ordinary. There’s no hint that she would be attending the biggest moment of her movie career on Monday except for the cart full of healthy foods. She has to eat healthy of course to be able to fit in whatever fabulous gown she’s going to wear. I wonder if there’s an e cigarette hidden in there somewhere to help her calm her nerves on the big night. What do you think?
Anyway, I’m rooting for her all the way. She was so wonderful in her movies last year. Goodluck, Sandra! I hope you win!
A Woman In Love
Angelina Jolie is a picture of health these days. She looks really blooming which is natural for a woman in love. She looks so vibrant and lovely that she wouldn’t need a finger pulse oximeter to monitor her health at this time of her life. Just look at those pink cheeks, the twinkling eyes, and that infectious laugh. At 34, she is in optimum health which she needs to be in order to keep up with her six children, her grueling filming schedule, her charity works, and keeping the hottest man in the planet, aka Brad Pitt, satisfied. LOL!

She and her partner Brad Pitt are currently in France. While she is shooting her next film, The Tourist, Brad plays the doting daddy to his children. I have seen their picture in the internet and aren’t they a lovely family? To think that they have six children in between them. Of course, they must have an army of nannies but if they are good parents then I think they make it a point to talk to all six of them one by one. That can be so tiring and I should know. I have only one child and it’s already hard for me.
I know a lot of rumors are circulating about the couple and that it’s all just for show but if they are real the rumors are not true then she is setting a high standard for all the other moms. She’s proof that some women really have it all. What do you think?
Sandra Bullock will win the 2010 Oscars Best Actress Award
Of course, Sandra Bullock was nominated for Best Actress. I’m hoping she would win this year. No, I’m not only hoping but I’m predicting that she will win the Best Actress Award! This is definitely her year as I have watched both the Blind Side and The Proposal and was surprised that both were really good. You know the feeling when you ware excited about a movie as it has been hyped so much and everybody seems to love it only to find out after watching it that it was really not worth your time. Then you wonder are you the only person in the world who didn’t like it? Are you still normal?
I have so watched so many movies like that (an example that I can remember off the top of my head is the movie, Paranormal Activity) and sometimes I just don’t watch movies anymore because I’m afraid to be disappointed again and again.
But Sandra Bullock on The Proposal changed all of that. I thought it was like another romantic-comedy movie but this movie really stuck to me and so did Sandra Bullock’s role as the loathsome boss, Margaret Tate.
And who could ever forget this scene?
Don’t you agree that this is the most embarrassing scene in movie history but yet she pulled it off with class and was able to get away with it admiringly? I can’t believe she still has a body like that as I surely can even remember watching her when i was only about 10 years old or so. I’m now 28 so that must have been 20 years ago but even if I’m decades younger I tell you that my body is definitely not like that – heck, it’s not even close!
Anyway, I can’t stop talking about The Proposal but she’s even not nominated for her role there. She’s nominated for her role as Mrs. Touhy in the true-to-life drama, The Blind Side. I only watched that movie because I remembered how good she was on The Proposal. I thought she can’t pull off two good movies consecutively but she proved me wrong big time. The recent Critics Choice Award proved that she definitely awed the judges. She tied with veteran awardee, Meryl Streep (with an impressive 2 Oscars and 7 Golden Globe awards under her belt), which only means that Meryl might be a brilliant actress but there was definitely something in Sandra Bullock that they can’t resist giving an award to her too. If Critics Choice Award was hesitant to give the award to Sandra Bullock alone I think the Academy Awards would be bolder.
To the Oscars judges, yes it’s okay to give the award to Sandra Bullock alone and her alone. Meryl Streep might be attracting awards to her name like a magnet attracting iron ores but I’m sure she’ll understand that Sandra Bullock’s time has arrived.

To Play or Not to Play
Daddy has been playing Grand Fantasia online. He’s so into it and he wants me to play too. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time anymore as I’m so busy with my homebased job plus taking care of Z and managing the household. That’s what I miss most ever since I became a wife and a mother. Having the luxury of playing games and reading the books I love. It’s not their fault but it’s just that I get guilty spending too much time in front of the computer. As it is I already spend way too much time in front of the computer! I really need that time management skill which I obviously lack.

Jon and Kate Plus 8
When we still had cable I like watching Jon and Kate plus 8. I was fascinated at how could anyone manage to raise a twin and a set of sextuplet at the same time. It was definitely mind-boggling to a mother with one child like myself. As I watched I learned that it was chaotic as expected but I was still impressed at how they were dealing with it. Then I heard a lot of negative press about them. Now I heard they have some marital issues that involve cheating by both parties and it’s just a sad news because they have so many kids. I wonder what will happen to all the kids if they divorce. One thing is for sure the title of their show won’t be Jon & Kate Plus 8 anymore.
Here are some of their pictures during happy times. The kids are all so cute and adorable! I can’t believe they’re going to give it all up.
