A Trip To LTO and Some Realizations

Five days after my birthday, I renewed my driver’s license. Hubby is super duper busy and couldn’t accompany me. That’s why I feel grateful there is someone whose schedule is open and will be available for at least another ten years or so – my seven year old boy, Z.

He didn’t want to go with me at first. He’s a homebody like his mom and dad. Plus, he said it’s too hot outside. But when I reminded him that he was with his Dad when it was him who renewed his license he laughed sheepishly and said he’ll go.

I feel so proud of Z. Ang sarap kasama kasi big boy na at hindi na alagain. Pwede mo na kakwentuhan, kakulitan, at katawanan. I didn’t get bored waiting for my license because he was with me.

After my new license was released guess where we went – where else but at Jollibee! That’s his reward for being a good boy. But before that photo session muna while walking to the mall.

Anyway, while writing this post I can’t help but be sad. I realized kasi after two more license renewals I would be walking down this road with a teenager that’s already taller than me. And three more renewals he would be applying for his own student license na! Oh my, time flies faster if I put it that way. That only means I have to spend more time with him now. Pretty soon he will be too busy to keep me company. *sniff*
