Weekly Date

Hubby and I went on a date yesterday night. Can you believe it’s more than a month since we have been going on a weekly date?

I thought it was not possible having two kids in the house. But we proved it wrong! It’s just a matter of making it a priority. Three to four hours (okay, sometimes five) a week without mommy and daddy won’t make the kids traumatized. My eldest is even excited every time we go out. He knows it’s his time to play on Dad’s laptop. My youngest will take more time to get used to it but that’s understandable.

Yesterday, Zack actually saw me go out of the door. His yaya told me later he would go to the door and say, “Mama.” It broke our hearts. Yes, it’s so hard leaving the kids even if we’re already with them 24/7.
So to make it fair with them we also scheduled a day (actually, half a day will do) once a week just for the two of them – so we won’t feel guilty of going on a date every week.haha!

So now every time hubby says, “Are you sure we won’t be bringing the kids?” I tell him that’s why we go out to somewhere fun every Saturday morning. That day is strictly for them.

Anyway, here’s a few pictures from our date. Out of the five times we went out thrice we ate at a Tokyo Tokyo. We can’t get enough of their tempura!

Took a shot of hubby when he was not looking. Thank you for taking me out on a date every week. Luv you!

Wow! Ang shweet! I envy you. every couple needs dates away from the kids. We do have those date nights but here at home when they’re asleep already. Thats what works for us in the meantime. But I look forward for those kind of date date nights. 🙂

    Way to go mommy P!

Thanks, Jona! I didn’t think it was possible talaga before. Hubby would feel guilty leaving the kids and I would too but once we started “dating” again we look forward to it na. 🙂
