I just realized I haven’t blogged about our All Soul’s day celebration. We went to two cemeteries – one in the north and the other in the south. As expected during the all soul’s day season, many people travelled to visit the graves of their loved ones.
We had to take long drives to get to the provincial cemeteries, and we get to enjoy the green scenery along with occasional car break downs and family rv repair being done on the road. It was a time to remember what the departed had done for us and it is also a reminder for us to do our best with our borrowed time. Even Kuya Z could recall his “Lola Mama” quite clearly, we reminded him how his Lola Mama took care of him while he was a baby.
It was tiring but was worth it. Both of my boys enjoyed their time out in the sun, and the day ended with us being so tired that we slept early and woke up the next day thinking that we didn’t get to rest during the long weekend holiday.
