Tagaytay Getaway

Last week, we were fortunate enough to get away from our busy lives and go to Tagaytay.  I love staying at home but it doesn’t mean that I don’t do nothing all day and just laze the day away. In fact, nothing can be further from the truth because aside from having a six year old that I’m homeschooling, I also have a 6 month old baby to take care of. So when our friends invited us for a day of swimming and eating at Tagaytay I immediately said yes. Of course, it’s nothing compared to USA holidays but it was a very much welcome vacation. Besides, I was also feeling down because I missed my friend who came home from one of her unending Hawaii holidays – because she already works and lives there – so I was hoping this was enough to lift my spirits.

Before we arrive at Tagaytay, we had to pass by the South Luzon Expressway. The toll fee has already increased considerably so for motorists, be aware.

Normally, I would forget to take pictures but this time I didn’t. Here we were at the car:

When we arrived there the rain we were rewarded with an excellent view on top of Tagaytay. It reminded me a lot of Baguio because there were pine trees too. After a hearty lunch of grilled food we swam to our hearts content. Overall, our holiday was fun, not as fun as California holidays but it was enough of a vacation for our family.
