Dairy Queen Blizzard Cakes and DQ Cakes

By | February 16, 2010

I have been a fan of Dairy Queen since my friend, Jean, introduced it to me when we were in college. The first time I tasted one I couldn’t believe how Oreo and ice cream tasted so good together. My biggest wish then was that the ice cream would fall when they turned it upside down behind the counter so I can finally get myself a free serving. LOL!

Almost ten years later and the scenario’s still the same. I’m still falling in line at the Dairy Queen counter with my husband and my kid tagging along. I can’t pass by the store without getting my favorite blizzard flavor.
Now, they have again reinvented the term “yummy” by introducing the Blizzard Cakes (P749). That’s Blizzard vanilla ice cream turned into cake and both are 100% ice cream! It’s available in my favorite Oreo flavor. It also comes in Xtreme chocolate, Chocolate Almond, and M&Ms. The top layer is pure Blizzard Ice Cream while, middle is cookie crunch, and the bottom layer is ice cream on top of an insanely delicious fudge.

DQ Cake

Not your traditional cake. Made with thick and creamy DQ soft serve ice cream and layered with fudge, cookie crunch, and chocolate ice cream. A great treat to celebrate any occasion.

They also have DQ Cakes (P649) for all occasions. That’s the one I’m getting for my birthday. DQ Cakes are available for Birthdays, Valentine’s, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Anniversaries, Halloween, Christmas, New Year.
