Goto Recipe

I was looking around for a Goto Recipe. I wanted to serve some to add variety to our daily breakfast menu. Good thing I found a one that I really like. Why don’t you try it? I’m sure you’ll love it too.

Gpt

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups glutinous rice (malagkit)
  • 1/2 kg beef entrails, boiled and tenderized
  • 1 liter rice washing
  • 1 medium sized onion, sliced lengthwise
  • 1 clove crushed
  • 1 tbsp ginger, sliced lengthwise
  • salted fish sauce (patis) for seasoning
  • cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp saffron food color (optional)

Procedure:

  1. Heat enough cooking oil in the cauldron.
  2. Once the oil is hot enough, add crushed garlic, sliced onions and ginger. Stir slightly until the sauted ingredients turn golden brown.
  3. Add tenderized beef entrails and stir ingredients thoroughly.
  4. Add the right amount of salted fish sauce. Continue stirring.
  5. Add glutinous rice. Continue stirring until the ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
  6. Once the ingredients are thoroughly mixed, pour one liter of rice washing carefully into the cauldron. Stir a little more.
  7. Reduce thea and cover the cauldron. Cook for 10 minutes.
  8. After 10 minutes, stir. See if the rice has already risen and softened into porridge consistency. This is the basis for determining if the rice is already cooked.
  9. If rice is not fully cooked yet, cover the cauldron again and cook for another five minutes.
  10. Serve hot. Garnish the goto arrozcaldo with celery or fried garlic as toppings. Good for 8 servings.

Authentic Rice Cake Recipe

I have just tasted the yummiest Rice Cake Recipe! We will be visiting my dad’s house for Christmas and what do you know we don’t have a single gift. So we went out in search for the right gift. Of course, everybody appreciates food so we went out to look for something nice. Our first stop was the mall first. I was tempted to buy Christmas Ham but I know it’s already staple in every home and I’m sure my dad already bought one. Next, I tried to look for food gift baskets but they look horrible and overly priced. So we went out and drove aimlessly to the part of the town where we haven’t been before. Somebody told me that they sell Rice Cake there but I didn’t know where in particular. I was reading the signs of the store left and right trying to see if I can find a store selling Rice Cake but to there wasn’t any. We were about to give up hope when I finally saw one. I dashed inside and ordered one right away. Now it’s sitting on top of table since it was supposed to be a gift for tomorrow. So how did I know it was the most delicious Rice Cake Recipe? Well, I couldn’t help but taste it so I got my spoon and tasted a teeny bitty one and it tasted so great! I instantly wished I bought more just for me.

Blogger Friends

With Love Wednesday

Friends are essential to our overall well-being. When I was young I had a lot of friends but then I was longing for a family – a complete one, that is. I was raised by my lola and how I wished I had a complete family.

So when I grew up I was in a hurry to have my own family. Now, I’m very happy I have my very own little family but unfortunately, I have no more friends. LOL!

Well, can you blame me? I am at home 24/7 and I haven’t seen my friends in years! That’s why I am thankful for blogging. I’m slowly rebuilding my network of friends. Some I have only seen once or twice but then I feel closer to them because I am always updated with their lives and it’s all because of blogging!

With Love Wednesdays: Kids

With Love Wednesday

This is the most recent picture of me with my kid, Z. Z is my one and only child and until now we’re not planning to have another one. He is mostly obedient but like other kids sometimes he can’t help but disobey when he’s having fun. For now, his playmate is our shih tzu named, Chewee. He loves him to bits and teases him crazy. Chewee loves him and knows how to play with our little boy.
