Mommies at School

I’m really loving fetching Z to school. Not only do I get to be a hands on mom like I wanted to be but I also get to meet other moms that share the same experience. We are in the same age bracket and we get along just fine. We are even making plans on how to make the waiting less boring. We plan to bring snacks to school so we can have something to munch on as we chat with each other. We even want to go swimming sometime in the future. I don’t know if it will actually push through but who knows maybe we’ll just muster the courage to pack our things and just go out. We are excited with the different activities for this school year especially on their first ever field trip. We are like school girls going to school all over again only this time we’re grown up and it’s our children going to school. I certainly missed the friends I met at school and I’m glad I’m meeting some new friends at Z’s school.

Z's going to School

It’s been two weeks since Z has started school. I’m still fetching him to and from the school and waiting for him for three hours there. If it wasn’t for some help from my cousin, Bam, I wouldn’t know how to manage my time. I’m so grateful for this opportunity to be with Zyke at school. There are a few parents there like me and most of the others are the yayas. There’s one thing I noticed though, the four parents there waiting with me are wives of OFWs. I presume because the wives with their husbands working here are out there in the office working. I don’t know about other parents, I know some of them like their work and love their careers but for me I’d rather be at home and personally raise my son. I grew up without my parents so this is a big deal for me. I’m grateful that I can work at home and don’t have to lug it out every day at the office. I’m grateful for all of these things I have. Sometimes it’s hard to see what you have and just worry about the future. So this is a reminder for me that everything’s great and there’s no need to stress unnecessary stuff.

Nap Time Scene

I had a splitting headache last night. I think I got it from taking a nap unintentionally in the afternoon then suddenly waking up to find out that I fell asleep when I have so many things to do. That’s the problem I have when I try to force Z to take a nap. There are only two outcomes – either we both take a nap or only I end up taking a nap. As usual yesterday Z didn’t want to take a nap but I remembered something that I used to do way back. I used to hum to Z when he was a baby so yesterday I hummed him to sleep. Well, it seems my humming is still working after all these years because Z took his first nap for the longest time since I can remember. So now I will hum to him every nap time. I just wish I won’t fall asleep myself.

Road Trip

We went out during the weekend and it was one of the most tiring weekends I had. Imaging going to Binan, Bicutan, Antipolo, and finally back home in Rizal? We did it while the weather was crazily changing from sunny to rainy to sunny again. We were so tired from all the traveling. All the time I was longing to be in front of the laptop instead of being outside. I’m really such a homebody or a real blog addict. I am so contented just being here and working on all my blogs. Anyway, here is a snapshot of our trip taken from Antipolo.
