Jon and Kate Plus 8

When we still had cable I like watching Jon and Kate plus 8. I was fascinated at how could anyone manage to raise a twin and a set of sextuplet at the same time. It was definitely mind-boggling to a mother with one child like myself. As I watched I learned that it was chaotic as expected but I was still impressed at how they were dealing with it. Then I heard a lot of negative press about them. Now I heard they have some marital issues that involve cheating by both parties and it’s just a sad news because they have so many kids. I wonder what will happen to all the kids if they divorce. One thing is for sure the title of their show won’t be Jon & Kate Plus 8 anymore.

Here are some of their pictures during happy times. The kids are all so cute and adorable! I can’t believe they’re going to give it all up.

Off to Binan for Lola's Birthday

Our long delayed trip to Binan will finally push through and it’s just about time because today is my lola’s birthday and we’re going to visit her. It will be a long trip and with four of us and a dog traveling it surely will be tiring. We will put Chewee in his dog cage and board a bus and I hope he doesn’t bark all the way like he did last time. It was really embarrasing when he barks. Last time we were directly sitted behind the bus driver and I swear the driver jolts every time Chewee barks. He might be a small shih tzu but his bark can rival the average sized dog.
I’m still wondering what I will give to my beloved lola who raised me single-handedly. If there’s one thing I regret staying at home and not having a career it’s when I think of her and how I can’t give her things she deserves after working for 25 years. I’ll give her some fruits and a birthday cake but I wish I can give her more.

Tagaytay Trip

It was the height of Manny Paquiao and Ricky Hatton’s fight when we decided to go to Tagaytay for a joy ride. As expected there were only a few cars on the road and we enjoyed a smooth ride to Tagaytay. It has been years since I last visited this place. I remember I was only a teenager when we used to frequent here with my family. We went to the Palace in the Sky and it was at noon when we got there. The sight was amazing! The only not so good thing was the sky was full of clouds so we weren’t able to see it all.
What I enjoyed during our trip there was of course the shopping! We bought a nice wall decor for our apartment, jewelry boxes, and lots of buko pie from Collette’s. Their buko pie is really tasty and full of buko tidbits. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. When we go back to Tagaytay I’ll make sure to buy more pies.
