I’m so tired! There are so many things to do but I only have two hands to do it. I’m dead beat tired and it’s already in the wee hours of the morning but I don’t have the liberty to sleep – gotta finish my transcription first. It doesn’t help that I’ve been transcribing for more than twelve hours now! Whew! My hands are aching but I can’t stop typing. My mind is already wandering that’s why this blog post. Aargh! Bye now – didn’t I tell you I was B-U-S-Y?!

Google Analytics is a helpful tool for website owners and bloggers to track the visitors of their websites. I’ve just finished installing Google Analytics in my WordPress blog and it is so easy. Here’s how:
1. Sign up for an account at Google Analytics or you can sign in with your existing Google account.
2. Enter the information required from your website.
3. You will then be asked to copy a tracking code to your blog but it will be easier if you download Google Analytics for WordPress plugin. It is in .zip format and there’s no need to extract it, you can upload it just like that.
4. Sign in to your wordpress account, click on Plugin, then click on Add New.
5. Find Install a plugin in .zip format, click on browse, and upload the plugin.
6. Check your WordPress Dashboard if it has been installed. If yes, click on Google Analytics in your Dashboard under Plugins and you will be able to configure your plugin. You need to add Analytics User Account before it will work.
7. To find the Analytics User Account, go to your Google Analytics Overview page and under Website Profiles you can see your blog name there’s a number that starts with UA. That’s your Analytics User Account. Just copy and paste.
8. To find if the plugin has been installed properly, refresh your Google Analytics Overview page. The status should display a clock icon which means it has been installed. You have to wait 24 hours to get some data.
Hope this helps. At first I just wanted to copy and paste the code myself to my template but after 30 minutes of searching where to find the (/body) tag in my template (I just switched to WordPress and switched from free host to paid host so I’m still not familiar with the cPanel and stuff) I still can’t find it. Good thing I found this Google Analytics Plugin and it was so much easier to install.

My husband surprised me the other day with tikoy. To say that I was pleasantly surprised was an understatement. I have discovered tikoy through my husband when we were still dating and I loved it ever since. I only get to eat tikoy once a year during Chinese New Year even though I would like to eat it more often than than. The reason, well, i don’t see tikoys being sold unless it’s around that time. We don’t live anywhere near Binondo where I think they might be sold all year round. I asked my husband where he got it and he told me he bought it from a vendor by the road. I scolded him saying he shouldn’t have bought tikoy just anywhere, he should buy it from groceries where they should sell tikoy with better quality and not by the side of the road – this is a once-a-year event after all and we should eat only the “best” tikoy around. Well, a few hours later I put my big foot inside my mouth because it might be cheap but it still tasted so yummy that I have eaten 1/4 of it and still eyeing the remaining tikoys. With all the self-restraint I could muster that tikoy lasted only two days after which I told my husband we have to buy another one because the Chinese New Year will be over and we might not be able to buy another one until next year. We went by the same vendor where he bought the first one and asked how much it is. The vendor told us it’s P55.00 and my husband said it’s P5.00 more than the first one he bought. Afraid that this might be the last tikoy we’ll be able to buy we bought it anyway although we have a feeling that she’s ripping us off. That second tikoy was as yummy as the first one and was gone again after two days – the actual day for the Chinese New Year. I woke up early this morning and I YMed my husband and told him to not forget to buy another tikoy. He wholeheartedly agreed and promised he will pass by the same vendor on the way home. But alas, he was too late. When my husband arrived, he gravely informed me there were no more tikoys being sold by the road. huhu Why we didn’t buy two or even five tikoys when we had the chance is beyond me. So I guess, my love affair for tikoy has once again been halted and will be in hibernation for a year. Till next year, my beloved tikoy!

Yesterday was my son’s birthday and I was still waiting for my new digicam to arrive. I wanted to use it particularly for this occasion but there was still no word from Gadget Grocery. So I emailed them and was shocked to find out they did deliver it four days ago but there was no one in the house to receive it. I told them I didn’t receive any text message and volunteered to pick it up. They promptly called me saying that they could deliver today at around 5pm and so I thought it was better late than never. It seems they weren’t able to give my correct phone number to their messenger so he wasn’t able to inform me. I, on the other hand, forgot to take my phone with me so it was never meant to be delivered early. Shortly after 5pm the messenger did arrive and we were so happy that we finally have our own Canon Powershot a590.
Here are some pictures.

I wanted the cheapest digital camera but will take some nice pictures too. After months of research – I didn’t want to part with my money then regret it – I finally decided on a Canon Poweshot A590 IS. It’s an 8 megapixel camera, with 4 times optical zoom, and is running on a Digic III processor. What’s more it’s compatible with CHDK which is a software called Canon Hacker’s Development Kit that can improve the features of your digital camera without a single cost. Its downloadable free on the internet. So I had made up my mind already as early as November. I found that camera being sold at sulit.com and tipidpc for P8,000-P8,500. I was still hesitant to buy it at that price, it was still too steep for me. We have money in the bank but I’m just cheap – didn’t want to part with it because money is not growing on trees like my grandmother said. Anyway, last early December I found the cheapest deal. Gadget grocery was selling it for only P6,800. It’s brand new, comes with service and parts warranty, and free delivery. I quickly ordered online but was crushed when they told me it’s already out of stock. They said they would get new stocks after the holidays are over. So I waited and guess what, I got an email telling me that their new stocks have arrived and if I was still interested I can order again at their website. I did just that and am now waiting for their text message for the actual delivery date. I’m so excited! I can’t wait. I’m tired of using my Sony Cybershot 800i in taking our pictures. Come to think of it, my phone is more expensive than my digicam. If I only knew then I would have bought a cheaper phone then bought a digicam as early as last year. Regrets, regrets!
