Trip to the Dentist
I just came by the dentist to have my tooth pulled. Silly me, I didn’t get to use my medicard because the dentist I went to was not accredited by Medicard. I thought it doesn’t need to be pulled, so I went to that dentist because I will have to pay anyway. If I went to another dentist that was accredited I could have it pulled for free. The dentist also told me I need a root canal procedure on my front tooth because it’s already dead due to some trauma, and it doesn’t come cheap either. I hate going to the dentist but it seems we are going to see each other some time again soon.
Problems and Bad News
I really like living on our own and not depending on our parents or relatives. The down side, however, is we are living quite far away from them so we don’t get to visit them that often. Within the last 3 months, my mom and my aunt both had an operation to remove a cyst from their cervix. We were only able to visit my mom once and my aunt, we didn’t even get to visit at all. Just this morning, I received a text message from my mom that my grandma is scheduled to have her own operation. She wants us to stay with my grandma for a while to take care of her. During these times, how I wish we just live near our relative’s house. If only S could find a job there, but it’s not that easy to transfer jobs.
By the way, a few hours after I got the text message, I received a call from my husband’s brother that a relative passed away and my SIL is in the hospital because of a pregnancy scare. I wonder when all the bad news will end?
Missing Cat
Oh my, our cat is missing! My husband brought her out to the playground so she can get some sunshine but then she ran away and until now we couldn’t find her.I am really worried because that cat knows nothing about the outside world, in fact, this is only the second time she ventured out of our compound. The first time she found her way back home because she was just at the gate. Now, we thought she would be able to come back but it’s already the second day and still no sign of her. Stray cats have to rummage for food to survive, but Muning, is such a picky eater I am not sure she will survive. She only eats cat food or sometimes our leftover viand, she wouldn’t even eat rice. Adding to my concern is that it has been raining for two days now and I wonder where she takes shelter, she has been used to a comfortable life here in our apartment. My husband told me not to worry too much because cats are good survivors. Sure, there are no more cat feces to clean and no more scratches on our sofa but when I see her plate and leftover cat food I terribly miss her and worry about her. I’m still hoping she’ll be able to find her way home soon.
**Update
A few hours after I published this post, about 3am in the morning, I heard a familiar meowing sound outside. I opened the door and sure enough Muning was there. She was lost for almost two days. I was really proud of her for finding her way back home. I immediately snapped this picture of her on her bed – oh, wait, that’s my curtain! Muning!

Home Alone
I am home alone today because my toddler went to work so I have declared this day as my much deserved rest day. Today, I am going to do what I want to do and when i want to do it. Ooops, there goes my schedule but I promise I will start it on Monday. After all, how am I going to teach Z if he’s not here? So I have been thinking about what I should do with my alone time after more than a year?
Definitely, I will watch the movies that I haven’t watched because I have to take what Z likes, in consideration. I will eat pizza the whole day. I will eat some ice cream. I will fix my blogs and complete my 300 entrecard drops, and I will do this all while lying in bed. Isn’t that a great way to spend my day off?
My Daily Schedule
I am not a very organized person so I wonder how I have survived the first 25 years of my life without keeping a list of chores or a to do list. It was quite easy then because my time was just for myself. Now that I am a mother and a wife, my time is divided between my son, my husband, myself, and the house chores. My responsibilities have quadrupled but too bad, I have not changed – it is still the same old me. No to-do-list, no schedule, no organization – nothing. There are many times that I feel overwhelmed and do not know what to do. I often find myself wishing there were more than 24 hours a day. But maybe, I do not need more than 24 hours a day? After all, other people are able to juggle their job and their family just fine. I realized that it’s high time for me to keep a schedule. Times have long changed and I am not single anymore. Whether I like it or not, I have to shape up or else my family’s life will suffer in the long run. I definitely do not want my son to grow up like me. I want him to be goal-oriented and organized. So I am posting here my day-to-day schedule. They say you have to do it for 30 days for it to become a habit so I hope I can stick to it like a glue until it becomes second nature to me. Wish me luck!

Whew! After finishing it, I am definitely more overwhelmed than ever. I have been reading Flylady.net and realized it’s really ambitious of me if I think I can follow all of these at the same time. The first draft I made included a specific time for each task but I felt stressed out just by reading it so I revised it and put time stamps to guide me throughout the day. Wish me luck!
Hello!
This is where I will write my thoughts, experiences, and all things I want. I hope you can come along with me in my journey through life.
